A short story about us

Having previously worked as a Local Authority Foster Carer, I grasp the intricacies of family dynamics within the sometimes conflicting Fostering Standards and Regulations. I understand that misunderstandings happen, errors can occur, and standards may be compromised.

I recognize the heartache of investing your love and energy in a child or young person, only to realize that their past traumas cannot be undone. I know the feeling of collaborating closely with your Fostering Service one moment, and then feeling utterly alone when an accusation arises against you.

To support Foster Carers, Special Guardians, Kinship Carers, and Adoptive Parents during these challenging times, I have assembled a small team to provide guidance.
